Location: Amsterdam - Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Salary: €140,000 to €160,000 per year + 20% bonus
We’re supporting a leading Utilities business in Amsterdam who are looking to appoint a VP of Data to lead and scale its enterprise-wide data strategy in the Netherlands.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping how data is used across the organisation, driving transformation across Data, Analytics and AI, and building the foundations required for long-term digital growth.
You’ll work closely with executive stakeholders across Technology, Operations and the wider business to ensure data is treated as a strategic asset, while leading high-performing teams across Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Analytics and Governance.
Key responsibilities:
Own and deliver the organisation’s enterprise Data & Analytics strategy
Lead and develop senior Data, Analytics and Platform teams
Drive modernisation of the data landscape, including cloud and data platform transformation
Establish strong Data Governance, quality and ownership frameworks
Identify opportunities to embed AI and advanced analytics across the business
Partner with C-level and senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with commercial and operational priorities
Build scalable operating models across Data Engineering, BI, Analytics and AI
Oversee major transformation programmes and strategic data investments
Develop a strong data-driven culture across the organisation
We’re looking for someone with:
Significant leadership experience across Data, Analytics or AI
Experience operating at VP, Director, Head of Data or equivalent level
A strong background within large-scale, complex enterprise environments
Experience leading data transformation and modernisation programmes
Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, Data Governance and enterprise architecture
Experience building and scaling high-performing technical teams
Strong stakeholder management skills at executive and board level
Experience within Utilities, Energy, Infrastructure or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous
