For our offices in the Netherlands, Cooper Consumer Health is looking for an
interim Legal Counsel
to join our team in Diemen (Netherlands) on a fixed-term basis for approximately five months,
from 1 November 2026 until 1 April 2027 , to cover a maternity leave position.

Your role:
We are looking for a pragmatic, commercially minded interim Legal Counsel who enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment.
As interim Legal Counsel, you will be part of an international legal team and act as a trusted business partner to a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal support to our businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium on a broad range of commercial, corporate, procurement, compliance, and privacy (GDPR) matters.
Support our Global Direct Procurement function on strategic and day-to-day legal matters, including contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
Deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders.
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
Help drive compliance and governance initiatives across the business.
Collaborate closely with colleagues from Legal, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Compliance and other functions.
Requirements:
Qualified (in-house) lawyer with 5-10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Available for 32 - 36 hours a week.
Experience supporting international businesses and cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience within the
pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare or life sciences sector
required.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice.
Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities.
Fluent in English; Dutch or French language is a plus.
Must already possess the necessary right to work in the Netherlands.
