Working as an Import & Customs Agent for an American freight forwarder means overseeing every step of the import journey. You handle administrative customs declarations while managing transport arrangements up to the final customer delivery. You act as the primary contact for clients and partners, ensuring high service quality throughout the supply chain. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 08:30 to 17:00, with occasional evening and weekend duties on a rotating schedule.
Responsibilities

Managing import shipments from end to end (A to Z)
Preparing customs documents and handling clearances efficiently
Organizing customer deliveries with inland transport partners
Providing proactive customer service and updates to clients
Ensuring all shipping documentation complies with customs standards
Participating in rotating evening and weekend shifts

Requirements

Practical experience in import, freight forwarding, or customs administration
Fluency in English
Strong administrative and customer service skills

Gross monthly salary ranging from € 2,900 to € 3,800 depending on experience
