PLC Software Engineer

In this role you design and implement software for single machines and complete production lines, supporting lifecycle development within GEA’s food-processing solutions. You will work on internal and customer projects, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable control software. You’ll install and customize applications globally, and help customers maximize value through training and remote support. This is a hands-on engineering role with international travel, contributing to scalable automation across production lines.

• Design and realization of PLC software for single machines and entire lines
• Develop standard and customer-specific applications and install globally at customer sites
• Provide remote support to GEA colleagues worldwide
• Train customers on machines and software applications
• Translate customer requirements into workable software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project delivery

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Self-motivated, results-driven, team player
• Willingness to travel globally (10–20%)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Experience in a similar role preferred
