Account Chief Technology Officer (ACTO)

In this role you will be the senior technology leader for a strategic Defence account in the Netherlands, shaping the technology vision and roadmap. You act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders and translate AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data developments into Defence-use opportunities. You’ll drive early-stage opportunities, support pre-sales and business cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, mission-critical solutions. This role offers high visibility and direct impact on Atos’ defence digital transformation efforts.

• Define and maintain the technology vision and roadmap for the Defence account
• Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, architects and operational leaders
• Translate AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data developments into Defence use cases
• Identify and shape opportunities early, including pre-tender
• Build sponsorship and develop clear value propositions with budget owners
• Support pre-sales activities, proposals and high-level solution direction
• Collaborate with sales, architecture, consulting and delivery teams
• Ensure security, compliance and mission-critical requirements are considered in proposed directions
• Represent Atos as a senior technology leader within the Defence market

• 10+ years in senior technology, architecture or technology leadership roles
• Strong client-facing experience, preferably in Defence, government or complex public-sector environments
• Experience engaging with C-level and senior executives
• Broad enterprise tech knowledge across cloud, AI, cybersecurity and data
• Experience with pre-sales or complex technology sales cycles
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into business value and strategic direction
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or significant equivalent professional experience
• Fluent Dutch and English (Dutch mandatory)
• Willingness to travel as required
• Experience within the Dutch Defence ecosystem would be advantageous
• Certifications (TOGAF, Azure/AWS, CISSP) are advantageous but not mandatory
