Sourcing & Category Expert Business Applications

In this pivotal global role, you will shape and execute sourcing for critical Business Applications vendors, driving value across ING’s international spend. You’ll lead strategic negotiations, manage key contracts, and craft cross-border vendor strategies that align with technology objectives and regulatory requirements. You’ll work with a high-performing, globally connected team to influence decisions at the executive level and deliver measurable procurement impact. • Define and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned categories
• Lead high-impact negotiations with strategic vendors
• Design and manage RFX processes and related documentation
• Oversee contract lifecycle, onboarding, and compliance checks
• Develop vendor plans and relationships with strategic partners
• Collaborate with category managers on stakeholder engagement and supplier segmentation
• Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation
• Advise on complex sourcing initiatives and strategic opportunities

• 3–6 years in strategic procurement in an international organization (preferably financial services)
• 3+ years of cross-country negotiations for group-wide Business Applications vendors (Risk, HR, Finance, Core Banking)
• Deep understanding of software market trends and competitive landscapes
• Strong knowledge of license models across Enterprise vendors including SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAS, FIS; Workday, Twilio, Topicus, Microsoft, Broadcom, Oracle, IBM, hyperscalers preferred
• Experience with offshore teams
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Strong project management and negotiation skills
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge in finance procurement
• Legal acumen and up-to-date knowledge of commercial and contractual developments
