Senior Technical controller

As Senior Controller – Technical Accounting, you will own US GAAP and SEC technical accounting matters for Booking.com, partnering with global finance teams. You will document assessments, guide adoption for new initiatives, and drive process improvements to standardize and automate accounting practices. You will report to the Head of Technical Accounting & Oversight and collaborate across FP&A, Risk & Control, Tax, Treasury, and Reporting in a dynamic, international setting. • Provide US GAAP guidance to finance on new initiatives, products, and non-recurring transactions
• Document and review technical accounting assessments under US GAAP
• Oversee accounting function and understand key financial statement line items
• Drive standardization, process creation, automation, and simplification
• Partner with Financial Controllers and core Finance departments (FP&A, Risk & Control, Business Units, Tax, Treasury, Reporting)
• Undertake ad-hoc projects as requested by the manager

• Solid expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting
• Strong knowledge of Risk & Controls, SOX, Financial Systems, and Compliance
• Ambitious, inquisitive, eager to develop and take on more responsibilities
• University degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics and/or postgraduate education (RA/CPA/ACCA)
• Approximately 12–15 years of experience in finance and/or accounting
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; IFRS experience beneficial
• Big 4 experience
• Proven ability to work in a multinational, matrix organization
• Fluent in English, strong communication and stakeholder management skills
