Operational and Digital Technology Engineer

As Engineer OT & Cybersecurity at the Dongen site, you will ensure reliable, secure OT and digital systems across production and logistics. You will collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and transformation teams to deploy and improve OT and cybersecurity solutions. You act as an expert for OT infrastructure, industrial automation, and security initiatives, driving innovation while upholding high operational standards. • Define, implement and maintain OT standards and architectures aligned with the OT strategy
• Ensure reliability, availability, and security of OT systems through incident management and lifecycle activities (patches, upgrades, maintenance)
• Support OT cybersecurity initiatives via security monitoring, incident response, and strategy implementation
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders on service delivery, requirements, performance, and data backup/recovery
• Lead continuous improvement of manufacturing and logistics systems, optimizing software and visualization tools
• Manage and support OT and digital transformation projects, deploying new technologies and investments
• Train and coach site teams on secure use of OT systems and capability development

• Technical degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation, IT or related field
• Hands-on PLC programming (Siemens S5/S7, TIA Portal) and industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of data management, operational data systems, databases, and MS Office
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles or willingness to develop them
• Fluency in Dutch and English with strong communication
• Structured, analytical mindset with problem-solving and process optimization skills
• Experience delivering training and engaging with diverse stakeholders
