Data Architect

In this role you will lead client engagements to design and deliver scalable data architectures and pipelines. You will co-design data engineering solutions with clients, mentor teams, and contribute to thought leadership and business development. You’ll work across cloud platforms and modern data technologies to enable large-scale data ingestion, processing, and delivery, shaping our Data Engineering offerings. • Lead data architecture and pipeline design for large-scale data initiatives
• Design and implement data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed frameworks (Spark, Kafka)
• Model and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases
• Oversee data integration patterns (batch, streaming, real-time) across structured and unstructured data
• Implement CI/CD and DataOps practices to automate data workflows and ensure reliability
• Develop and enhance Sia's Data Engineering offerings through training and publications
• Represent Sia at events and contribute to thought leadership
• Drive business development by crafting proposals and managing client relationships
• Mentor junior to medior consultants and support their professional growth
• Manage client engagements as trusted advisor to mid- and senior-level management

• 3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research)
• Fluency in Dutch; German or French a plus
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven interest and ability in Data Engineering and AI topics
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure (as indicative stack)
• Ability to quickly build expertise in data/AI areas and help clients seize opportunities
