Android Developer

In this Android Developer role, you will own the Jetpack Compose-driven UI for scalable native apps serving a major global retail brand. You’ll shape the app’s architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure fast, secure production code. You’ll work with modern Android standards and contribute to test strategies and CI/CD pipelines, delivering resilient software across markets. This is a hands-on position with impact on product quality and engineering practices in a dynamic, diverse environment.

• Own Jetpack Compose development end-to-end: UI, design system components, navigation, and state management
• Build with modern Android standards: scalable module structure and evolution-ready architecture in Kotlin
• Deliver production code with emphasis on performance, responsive UI, secure networking, safe storage, and thread/memory safety
• Design and implement core Android layers using Retrofit/Ktor, Room, Dagger/Koin, Architecture Components, Coroutines, and reactive patterns
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests and contribute to test strategy
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or Bitrise
• Collaborate through code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation across cross-functional teams
• Communicate risks, progress, and priorities clearly to keep multi-country delivery on track

• Jetpack Compose production experience (main requirement)
• Android development with modern best practices and Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, git-flow, and Git collaboration
• Proficiency with Retrofit or Ktor, Room, Dagger or Koin, Android Architecture Components, and Coroutines
• Quality mindset with profiling, performance tuning, security, and memory leak prevention
• Hands-on CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or Bitrise
• Fluent in English and able to collaborate globally, with strong Kotlin design skills
