Piping Design Supervisor

In this role you lead piping design activities across FEED and EPC, ensuring safe, technically sound and cost-effective execution. You provide technical direction to piping design teams and coordinate interfaces with engineering disciplines, clients and constructors. You review 3D models, P&IDs and vendor data to ensure design integrity and compliance. You work within a collaborative Fluor environment to shape complex piping systems and deliver value across project phases. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical oversight with cross-functional collaboration to drive project success.

• Supervise piping designers and provide technical guidance to execution teams
• Assign, coordinate and monitor design activities, staffing, schedules, progress and quantities
• Develop and maintain piping execution plans, scopes of work and design criteria
• Develop or supervise piping layouts for moderate to complex systems and check drawings (plots, plans, isometrics)
• Lead internal and external 3D model reviews and verify deliverables meet requirements
• Review P&IDs, vendor docs and interdisciplinary inputs, resolving discrepancies
• Coordinate piping interfaces with engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, construction and fabrication teams
• Ensure designs consider health, safety and environmental factors and comply with codes and procedures

• BSc in Mechanical or Piping Engineering or Secondary Technical School (MTS)
• 20+ years of piping design experience including EPC project execution and supervision/coordination of teams
• Extensive experience developing and checking piping layouts, equipment arrangements, plot plans, piping plans and isometrics
• Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems and piping tools (Hexagon Smart 3D, SmartPlant Review, PDS, PDMS, or E3D) and conducting 3D model reviews
• Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, interdisciplinary drawings and vendor documentation; knowledge of piping components and materials
• Fluent English; German and/or Dutch a plus
