Senior Solutions Architect (Pre-sales) - Life Sciences

As a Senior Solutions Architect for the Benelux Life Science team, you drive the technical and consumption strategy for flagship, complex accounts. You will influence platform adoption by partnering with regional and global account teams and act as a trusted advisor on data and AI strategy. You bring deep architecture expertise to lead multi-workload, enterprise-scale engagements and guide competitive positioning. You will mentor others, contribute to field thought leadership, and help shape impactful data & AI solutions for top life science customers.

• Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex customer engagements to influence platform adoption and revenue
• Own senior-level technical relationships as a trusted advisor on data and AI strategy
• Lead enterprise-scale architecture engagements including migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale
• Act as an expert on the Databricks Platform and mentor others for horizontal impact
• Develop competitive strategies and position Databricks against incumbents and peers
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
• Coach junior engineers/architects on depth, engagement, and use case prioritisation
• Contribute to Field Engineering thought leadership through customer content, workshops, and community

• 8+ years in global/cross-region, multi-architect accounts with solutions architecture and pre-sales leadership
• Strong hands-on technical background with Python, SQL, and ideally Spark/PySpark
• Deep enterprise data architecture expertise: distributed systems, streaming, lakehouse, governance, cloud-native platforms
• Expert-level data platform knowledge (Databricks or similar) with fast-learning ability
• Recognised as an expert in real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry solutions
• Executive presence to influence Directors/VPs/C-level on data/AI strategy; value-based selling and vision
• Proven track record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption in large accounts
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience)
