People Technology Application Engineer

Join Adyen's People Tech team to engineer and integrate applications across the Workday ecosystem and enterprise tools. You will design scalable, low-code and custom solutions that streamline HR tech workflows, while embedding security and governance by design. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to turn complex business needs into reliable APIs and smooth user experiences. This role offers the chance to shape our next-gen employee experience platform at scale. You will drive automation, AI-enabled workflows, and secure integrations that reduce manual toil.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and API integrations between Workday HCM and tools like Greenhouse, Qualtrics, Docebo, Slack
• Extend platform capabilities with Workday Extend, Python frameworks, and low-code/no-code solutions
• Automate workflows and develop AI agents using platforms such as Google Vertex AI / Gemini Enterprise
• Incorporate security, privacy, and governance into software architectures with strong access controls
• Set engineering standards, API specifications, and maintainable documentation for scalable support
• Collaborate with Core People Tech, Data Engineers, Security, and HR leads to translate business needs into technical solutions

• 5+ years in software development, application engineering, or integration engineering
• Strong Python (FastAPI/Flask) and web technologies (REST, JSON, Webhooks, OAuth, GraphQL)
• Experience with integration platforms (iPaaS), event-driven architectures, or middleware tools
• Hands-on experience with HRIS/enterprise SaaS ecosystems (Workday APIs, Workday Extend, Studio)
• Security-focused mindset with privacy-by-design principles
