Senior Salesforce Specialist

As an IT Development specialist at Canon, you translate business needs into robust IT designs across data, processes, and technology. You will drive delivery of compliant IT solutions that align with business applications and domains, while guiding change management and ensuring smooth production support. You work independently on core modules, contribute to standards, and mentor team members. This role offers impact across multiple business functions and a chance to shape solution quality and efficiency.

• Translate requirements into solution designs and assess impact on business applications
• Provide effort, cost, and timeline estimates for proposals
• Identify solution risks and shape test plans
• Adhere to design principles (no unnecessary customisations; design for flexibility)
• Drive delivery and implementation of IT solutions within the business
• Manage functional template boundaries (data, process, technology) and approve deviations
• Be recognized as technical/functional expert in relevant modules
• Support change management and user adoption for end-to-end processes
• Drive project adoption of new features and ensure they are used appropriately
• Participate in incident analysis and complex problem resolution (3rd/4th line)
• Conduct trend analysis and root-cause analysis of major incidents; implement improvements
• Support compliance controls with evidence (ITGC, ITAC) and zero-deficiency targets
• Oversee data migration, release management, and SOD/UAM controls
• Advise on ownership of controls and test these controls with IT Operations
• Contribute to solutioning policies, standards, and communities of practice
• Act as best-practice/quality resource and mentor junior team members

• Over 5 years’ experience in IT (technical and functional) in relevant domains such as Sales, Service, Marketing, SCM, Finance, HR
• Proven experience with Canon IT applications (Oracle EBS, SFDC, CPQ, legacy systems) and related certifications
• Strong IT delivery skills and knowledge of IT Operations and Compliance
• Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; Masters a plus
• Expert recognised within organization with depth/breadth of domain knowledge
• Ability to interpret business issues and propose best practices; ability to work independently with guidance only in complex cases
