R&D Engineer Emmen

In this role you lead product development initiatives for low voltage cables in the Netherlands, acting as the technical lead and primary liaison between NL R&D and local R&D/Operations. You collaborate with Sales, Operations and other R&D teams to translate requirements into new products, processes or materials while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You drive cost and environmental improvements and manage product certifications and test programs. You’ll also lead cross-functional projects, support field investigations, and promote safety and high-quality execution in a fabric of collaborative, impact-driven work.

• Lead product development projects for NL low voltage cables and provide technical leadership
• Serve as contact between NL R&D and local R&D/Operations teams
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to define requirements and drive new product implementation
• Coordinate alignment of product/material development, cable design, and Emmen lab with other R&D teams
• Maintain certifications and implement test programs to ensure compliance
• Support market understanding and tester programs for new products or process tech
• Lead field failure investigations and root-cause analyses
• Support Quality and Engineering in daily production risk analyses
• Represent R&D to factory management and liaise with NL R&D
• Maintain safety standards and promote safe practices in lab/production
• Lead cross-functional project teams and communicate progress, impact and timing
• Report on project metrics including environmental impact, cost and product implementation
• Support daily activities including safety and 6S tasks and plant/lab initiatives

• 5+ years in an industrial testing environment
• Experience in wire and cable production and/or sales preferred
• Demonstrated project leadership and communication skills
• English and Dutch language proficiency
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook)
