Maintenance Supervisor

In this role, you lead safe and reliable engineering and maintenance operations, guiding the team to meet health, safety and regulatory requirements while boosting asset reliability and operational performance. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and support commissioning and management of change. • Enforce safe systems of work and ensure accountability for health and safety performance
• Provide safe equipment, working environment, and PPE for employees and contractors
• Ensure proper training, instruction, and supervision for safe task execution
• Strive for zero recordable injuries via Near Misses, safety observations, and timely corrective actions
• Investigate safety and environmental incidents and establish countermeasures
• Drive planned maintenance using historical data and condition-based monitoring
• Offer technical support and guidance to the Engineering team
• Prioritize and allocate Maintenance resources through liaison with internal stakeholders
• Contribute to Management of Change and Commissioning to hand over safe, fit-for-purpose equipment
• Lead Engineering Continuous Improvements to boost production and site safety, aligned with SEVESO/COMAH standards
• Support HAZOPs and process design when invited
• Serve as site custodian for Rx maintenance activities where relevant
• Ensure training and competencies within the Maintenance Team
• Promote safe methods of work via risk assessments and procedures
• Manage the Engineering budget to meet targets
• Develop Engineering Procedures and Maintenance worksheets as part of the Eng Management System
• Align maintenance with OEM recommendations, reliability data, HSE guidance, and RAGAGEPs
• Champion Rx asset management and critical spare parts (where relevant)
• Contribute to Engineering BMS reports and Rx data analysis for maintenance improvements
• Cover Engineering Manager responsibilities when the manager is off-site
• Process MIRA actions and Near Miss reports relevant to Maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 5+ years in a hazardous manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of country health and safety legislation
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• 2+ years experience with RAMS and PTW issuing/approving
• NEBOSH would be advantageous
• Regulatory understanding including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, SEVESO/COMAH
• Knowledge of ATEX and DSEAR
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Commissioning and Management of Change
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high ethical standards
