Head of L&D Strategy & Portfolio

In this role, you shape and lead Vattenfall’s group-wide L&D strategy and portfolio to strengthen future readiness. You will connect business strategy with learning priorities, guiding an international team across markets. You’ll anticipate capability needs amid AI and digitalization, translating insights into strategic investments that drive sustainable performance. You’ll influence governance forums and embed learning in the flow of work through technology and data, enabling scalable development.

• Evolve the capability strategy and translate AI-driven transformations into priority capability building, upskilling and reskilling
• Provide outside-in insights on workforce and technology trends to enable transformation as a strategic driver
• Link business strategy with workforce planning to forecast demand, supply, and gaps
• Set direction for skills-based ways of working and use evidence to broaden adoption
• Own and govern the group-wide L&D portfolio and investments with high strategic relevance
• Develop scalable, embedded learning approaches enabled by tech, data and AI
• Lead, empower and develop an international team of specialists
• Build senior stakeholder relationships and drive alignment through governance forums

• A relevant academic degree
• Extensive experience in learning and development, capability strategy, strategic workforce planning, skills-based talent practices and workforce transformation
• Leadership experience in an international matrix organization
• Ability to translate business strategy into workforce and development priorities and actionable roadmaps
• Strong digital acumen with AI and emerging technologies implications for work and learning
• Experience using data and insights to support strategic decisions
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management across levels
• Experience leading change across functions, countries and boundaries
• Fluency in English; Swedish, German or Dutch is an advantage
