Lead Data Scientist, Revenue - Ads, Revenue

In this role you will own Ads optimization, shaping the data science approach for ranking, targeting, pacing, and auction logic within Vinted’s growing Ads ecosystem. You’ll lead model and algorithm development, experiments, and production integration to boost advertiser value, marketplace relevance, and revenue. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into tractable optimization problems and measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on, greenfield opportunity to build high-performance, privacy-conscious ad systems at scale.

• Own optimization logic for Ads systems and core optimization problems
• Design and implement models and algorithms for Ads delivery and optimization
• Lead experimentation and performance improvement frameworks
• Define objective functions and constraints balancing advertiser value, revenue, and user experience
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics of system behavior and performance bottlenecks
• Partner with engineers and product teams to deploy models and optimization logic
• Collaborate with analytics and data engineering to ensure robust training data and feedback loops
• Explain system behavior and impacts to non-technical stakeholders
