Vice President, AI Enablement

As VP, Head of AI COE, you will shape Genmab’s enterprise AI strategy and drive its execution across functions to deliver measurable scientific, operational, and business value. You’ll lead the COE, govern AI initiatives, and cultivate partnerships to scale AI across the value chain. This role blends strategic leadership with deep technical credibility to transform emerging AI advances into tangible outcomes in a regulated biopharma context. You’ll influence senior leaders and build a culture of responsible experimentation and adoption, with a clear impact on patient-centric innovation.

• Define and implement Genmab’s enterprise AI strategy, roadmap, operating model, and investment priorities
• Lead the AI Center of Excellence, including forward-deployed AI engineering, governance, and strategic partnerships
• Collaborate with functional leaders to identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities
• Ensure AI initiatives move from experimentation to adoption, with scalable deployment and measurable impact
• Establish portfolio management balancing near-term value, capability building, and long-term innovation
• Build reusable AI platforms, products, engineering patterns, and governance pathways
• Ensure AI solutions meet security, privacy, quality, reliability, validation, and responsible use standards
• Manage strategic relationships with foundation-model providers, tech companies, and implementation partners
• Advise Executive Committee on AI opportunities, investments, risks, and market developments
• Develop AI talent, literacy, and a culture of responsible experimentation and adoption
• Define and track adoption, business value, scientific impact, delivery speed, cost, risk, and capability maturity

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific/technical degree highly preferred
• 15+ years of leadership experience in AI, data science, software engineering, digital transformation, or technology strategy
• Track record of building and scaling AI in a complex enterprise
• Strong understanding of generative AI, foundation models, AI agents, ML, data platforms, and modern software development
• Experience translating emerging technologies into deployed products and measurable business outcomes
• Experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech/healthcare or another highly regulated industry preferred
• Ability to work across scientific, clinical, commercial, technology, quality, legal, and executive stakeholders
