Legal Counsel

As a member of CM.com’s international Legal team, you’ll partner with global commercial teams to enable growth while safeguarding CM.com’s interests in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You’ll advise on the legal framework for our SaaS, CPaaS, payments and AI products, handling contracts and regulatory issues across markets. You’ll shape scalable legal processes, monitor developments, and leverage AI tools to improve your work. This role blends technology, governance and business, offering meaningful impact at scale.

• Lead drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements (customer, supplier, technology, data-processing, partnerships) to enable deals while protecting CM.com
• Provide pragmatic legal guidance to Sales, Procurement, Product and other stakeholders on commercial, regulatory and data-protection matters
• Advise on privacy and data protection issues, including GDPR, for products, contracts and operations
• Develop and improve contract standards, playbooks and scalable processes supporting a global commercial organisation
• Support tenders, strategic negotiations and cross-functional projects with management and international offices
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to CM.com and translate them into practical guidance
• Support management and protection of CM.com’s IP and trademark portfolio across markets
• Use AI tools to improve own work, experiment with new approaches and share findings with the team

• Master's degree in Law and at least three years of relevant legal experience (in-house, law firm or commercial setting)
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English, ideally in tech/SaaS or regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection law (GDPR); experience with telecoms, payments, consumer or AI regulation is a plus
• Pragmatic, business-minded approach; ability to translate complex questions into concise, workable advice and build trusted relationships with non-legal stakeholders
• Strong ownership and judgement; ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving international environment
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); genuine curiosity about technology and AI; openness to leveraging AI tools to enhance work
