In this role, you will define and execute the engineering strategy for a large-scale Operations Intelligence platform, leading multidisciplinary teams across software, AI/ML, data science and optimisation. You will drive digital twin and operations research initiatives to support strategic decisions and measurable business value. You will establish governance, roadmaps and best practices while collaborating with business leaders to translate challenges into scalable technology solutions. • Define and execute engineering strategy for a large-scale Operations Intelligence platform
• Build, lead, and grow multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, AI/ML, data science, and optimisation
• Drive development of digital twin capabilities modeling end-to-end operational processes
• Lead implementation of operations research solutions including mathematical optimisation and simulation
• Establish engineering governance, standards, and delivery processes
• Partner with business leaders to translate operational challenges into scalable tech solutions
• Own platform roadmap prioritisation balancing commercial and technical objectives
• Drive continuous improvement via analytics, process mining, automation, and predictive modelling
• Oversee cloud-native platform architecture, MLOps, and AI product delivery
• Ensure successful execution of complex transformation programmes with multiple stakeholders
• Create performance frameworks linking outcomes to business value and ROI
• Lead vendor and technology evaluations to support long-term capability development

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related discipline
• Proven experience leading engineering organizations within complex operational environments
• Strong people leadership with ability to coach and scale high-performing teams
• Experience delivering AI, ML, analytics, or optimisation platforms with measurable business outcomes
• Strong understanding of software engineering, cloud technologies, data platforms, and modern development practices
• Experience translating business strategy into roadmaps and execution plans
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leadership
• Commercial acumen with understanding of operational performance, efficiency and value creation
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced, transformational environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, infrastructure or asset-intensive industries is advantageous
• Knowledge of simulation, optimisation, digital twins, operational planning, or industrial analytics is highly preferred
