EHS Consultant - Netherlands

In this role you will support ERM’s Safe and Sustainable Solutions team in BeNe, delivering high-quality EHS solutions to a diverse client base. You work on diagnostics, audits, EIAs, risk assessments, and sustainability integration, collaborating with senior experts to ensure compliant, practical outcomes. You help drive safety culture and operational performance across client environments, contributing to continuous improvement. This position offers cross-border collaboration and exposure to a broad portfolio of industrial projects in a global sustainability network.

• Support execution of EHS diagnostics, audits, and compliance assessments with high technical standards
• Provide technical assistance in EHS audits and site assessments
• Contribute to development of EHS standards, permitting docs, EIAs, and technical reports
• Assist integration of sustainability initiatives into client operations
• Support development of risk assessments, health & safety procedures, and related programs
• Help deliver multiple projects within scope, budget, and timelines
• Prepare high-quality deliverables under guidance of senior consultants
• Collaborate with Partners and Project Managers for effective project execution
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication
• Collaborate with ERM colleagues across teams and geographies

• 2+ years of relevant experience in consulting or industry with EHS exposure
• BSc or MSc in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety, or related discipline
• Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Solid business acumen to understand client challenges, risks, and opportunities
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas in technical documentation
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and drive in a professional setting
• Ability to manage priorities and contribute effectively within project teams
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trusted internal and external relationships
