Insurance Manager

As Insurance Manager, you will develop and implement global risk financing strategies to protect AkzoNobel’s balance sheet and support business objectives. You will lead the design, renewal, and optimization of global insurance programs and build strong relationships with insurers, underwriters and brokers. You will advise senior leaders on risk-related matters and support mergers and strategic initiatives. You will contribute to the insurance workstream for the AkzoNobel–Axalta integration in a highly international team. • Develop and implement global risk financing strategies
• Lead design, renewal, and optimization of global insurance programs
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, underwriters, brokers, and external partners
• Act as trusted advisor to business leaders on insurance and risk matters
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
• Develop insurance expertise within regional hubs (Brazil, China, US) and support local activities
• Manage contracts and service agreements with external providers
• Contribute to insurance workstream for AkzoNobel–Axalta integration

• Master’s degree in law, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Approximately 5–7 years in international insurance within a multinational, broker, or carrier
• Valid WFT qualification (Wet Financieel Toezicht)
• Fluency in Dutch and English
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work across cultures and functions in a global organization
