Managing Consultant - Public Service Defence

In this role you will lead engagements with defense organizations to improve operational effectiveness and mission success. You will operate as a senior leader with a mix of operational and strategic responsibilities, shaping proposals and developing the public sector practice. You’ll build client trust, mentor teams, and drive business development and market offerings across the Netherlands. The position blends delivery leadership with thought leadership to expand PA’s defense and public sector impact.

• Lead engagements with defense organizations from concept to implementation
• Provide strategic advice on defense policy, capability development, and operational efficiency
• Analyze client requirements and design tailored solutions with multidisciplinary teams
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to establish credibility
• Mentor junior consultants and support their professional growth
• Develop commercially viable consulting offerings and refine existing ones for new markets
• Collaborate with PA's international Go-To-Market and specialist teams on propositions and account development
• Lead and deliver large-scale, complex projects
• Manage mixed consulting and client teams across planning and execution

• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of defense industry experience
• Proven track record of leading consulting engagements and delivering results
• Deep understanding of defense policy, strategy, and operations
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven leadership abilities with team management experience
• Fluency in Dutch and English; additional languages a plus
• Willingness to travel for client engagements
• Dutch nationality due to national security vetting requirements
