As Associate Design Director, you shape the craft vision and elevate design excellence across complex accounts. You guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor talent, and influence strategic direction while representing DEPT publicly. You drive innovation, craft standards, and contribute to sales and thought leadership. This role blends leadership with hands-on design, helping brands grow through exceptional digital experiences.

• Own craft direction across complex projects and accounts, ensuring alignment with DEPT standards
• Raise the bar by defining processes and enabling teams to deliver consistently excellent work
• Provide high-level creative and product direction to clients and internal teams
• Drive innovation through experimentation to set benchmarks and win awards
• Shape the design practice by evolving craft vision, building team capabilities, and mentoring
• Support pitches and growth opportunities with strong creative viewpoints
• Represent DEPT externally through talks, posts, and publications

• 10+ years in visual/UI/UX design with leadership experience
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic impact, systems thinking, and execution across complex digital ecosystems
• Strategic thinker influencing product, design, and business decisions
• Recognised design voice; inspires teams and contributes to the design community
• Mentorship mindset with coaching and knowledge sharing
• Curiosity for emerging tools, AI workflows, motion, and trends
• Deep understanding of visual principles, accessibility, and modern interactions
• Mastery of Figma and design systems; motion skills a plus
• Confident communicator; fluent in English
