Project Officer

As a Project Officer at AkzoNobel, you will support project, programme and portfolio managers to ensure delivery on time, budget and quality. You will coordinate administration across multiple initiatives, track progress and produce insightful reporting to drive informed decisions. You’ll help embed project management best practices and foster strong stakeholder relationships to enable smooth governance. This role sits at the heart of global transformation programmes, offering exposure to cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and help strengthen PMO processes to deliver impact at scale.

• Coordinate with project stakeholders to enable efficient delivery
• Monitor progress against cost, quality and timeline objectives and identify risks
• Collect, analyse and consolidate project information to produce status reports
• Maintain project documentation, reporting standards and governance processes
• Analyse portfolio performance and communicate updates, dependencies and issues
• Contribute to development of project management best practices and PMO process improvements

• Bachelor degree or higher
• Experience coordinating projects in international or multicultural environments
• Experience in a Project Coordinator or PMO role
• Familiarity with project management tools and reporting processes
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum or Portfolio Management
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities
