Staff Software Engineer - Money Movement

As Staff Engineer - Money Movement, you will shape the architecture and execution of global financial product systems at Adyen. You’ll provide technical leadership across engineering, product partners, and stakeholders to scale the money movement foundation and banking rails. You will mentor engineers, push for continuous innovation, and help define the technical vision for the organization. This role offers meaningful impact on Adyen’s financial products and the opportunity to influence a high-growth fintech platform.

• Scale and expand the money movement foundation to support all Adyen products
• Provide architectural and design leadership for Financial Products
• Optimize global banking connections and banking licenses/partners
• Design and build new banking rails as products expand
• Mentor engineers to uphold high standards of technical excellence

• 2+ years of experience in the financial industry (banking or fintech)
• 10+ years of hands-on development in a modern engineering environment
• Technical leadership experience including mentoring and engineering strategy
• Hands-on experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
• Strong background in Java; hands-on coding
• Platform mindset with ability to generalize complex processes into simple services
• Proactive relationship-builder with strong cross-cultural communication
