Network Engineer II - ( Data Centre)

As a Network Engineer in Booking.com’s Data Center Network team, you’ll help keep our global data center networks reliable and scalable. You’ll contribute to automation, monitoring, and zero-touch provisioning to reduce manual toil and speed deployments. You’ll collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams worldwide to support private cloud and virtualization, ensuring high availability for internal workloads. • Ensure reliability, stability, and availability of Booking.com’s global data center network
• Operate, maintain, and improve large-scale network infrastructure across multiple data centers
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring via robust scripting/tools (preferably Python and Unix/Linux)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and troubleshoot networking for private cloud and virtualization
• Own and evolve zero-touch provisioning and automated configuration workflows
• Monitor and optimize network performance, proactively address issues and minimize downtime
• Work with multi-vendor environments, coordinate incident management and resolution
• Engage with vendors/partners for network support and escalations when needed

• Deep expertise in routing & switching, TCP/IP, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN
• Strong experience building and maintaining network automation stacks (preferably Python) in Unix/Linux
• Hands-on experience with zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) and automated configuration management
• Proven ability to monitor, optimize, and ensure high network quality and availability
• Extensive experience building and operating large-scale data center networks
• Solid background in private cloud networking and network virtualization
• Demonstrated incident management and vendor coordination experience
• Nice-to-Have: experience with firewalls and multi-vendor networks
