D&I Program Manager, Professional Services

As a Program Manager on Planet’s Global Professional Services team, you’ll steer complex projects to scale government adoption of the Planet Platform and data products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define methods and strategy for a project portfolio and contribute to business development by aiding proposal delivery for defense and intelligence clients. The role suits a process-driven candidate who thrives in a global, fast-paced environment and wants to optimize workflows for growth. • Design and deliver reliable platform and data solutions with cross-functional teams
• Lead development of proposals for D&I customers by gathering inputs and articulating value
• Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics with stakeholders
• Translate business and technical requirements into actionable deliverables
• Plan and manage detailed project schedules, risks, and budgets
• Provide regular progress updates to customers and internal teams
• Design processes for operational excellence and scalability
• Monitor workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
• Manage subcontractor contracts, task tracking, and budget oversight
• Measure project performance and customer satisfaction to inform future delivery

• 6+ years of project management experience, including government/defense proposal support
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience contributing to technical proposals
• Experience in the Defense and Intelligence community
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in technical/product settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly
