Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at FORTNA, you will design and deliver electrical engineering scope for material handling systems, ensuring reliable, efficient, and safe installations across the project lifecycle. You’ll work on electrical design, power calculations, interfaces, and installation documentation while coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Depending on experience, you may independently deliver activities or lead the electrical workstream for projects. This role supports integrated conveyor and sortation solutions and helps translate designs into high-performing installations.

• Develop electrical designs based on system architecture and project requirements
• Perform power calculations and electrical interface, accessibility and risk analyses
• Coordinate electrical design activities with other engineering disciplines
• Prepare electrical specifications, BOMs, and specs for specials
• Create and maintain electrical installation and as-built documentation
• Assess design changes and incorporate approved changes
• Provide electrical engineering support during site activities
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering solutions and processes
• Contribute technical expertise to resolve multidisciplinary challenges
• Coordinate electrical activities, advise stakeholders and guide less experienced colleagues

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Relevant professional experience in electrical engineering within engineering/manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of electrical design, power calculations, interfaces and technical documentation
• Ability to analyse technical issues and develop engineering solutions
• Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate technical information effectively
• Experience coordinating engineering activities and guiding colleagues
