Sr Trader Gasoline Comp. & Oxyfuels EMEA

In this role you will lead LYB’s Gasoline Blending Components & Oxyfuels trading book for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, ensuring disciplined risk management and market leadership. You will shape commercial strategy, mentor junior traders, and coordinate with regional and corporate teams to optimize portfolio value. You’ll drive innovative trading models and value creation through arbitrage, blending, and storage plays, while advancing biofuels sustainability compliance. • Lead and execute strategies for the Gasoline Components and Oxyfuels book to generate P&L while managing risk
• Mentor and develop traders and schedulers within the region
• Collaborate with commercial operations and analytics teams
• Oversee liquids portfolio to balance risk and return
• Negotiate complex contracts with refiners, trade houses, banks, and end users
• Develop and deploy proprietary trading models and forward pricing curves
• Drive value strategies including arbitrage, blending, storage optimization, and niche customer access
• Build regional blend netbacks for product valuation across markets
• Manage price risk exposure and monitor market liquidity and optionity
• Serve as SME for commodities and regional markets, informing financial forecasting and strategy
• Identify and respond to emerging opportunities and threats in partnership with BD

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive commodity trading or related leadership experience
• Proven track record in gasoline trading portfolios and asset-backed businesses
• Experience designing and executing trading strategies and risk management
• Expertise in market insight, price discovery, and portfolio management (Atlantic basin focus)
• Ability to implement hedging, arbitrage, blending, and storage optimization
• Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and compliance
• Experience with trading and supply integration
• Excellent English; French language skills a plus
