Machine learning Engineer

In this role, you will lead the growth and direction of the Data team, shaping AI product development for clients and Sia’s own solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional groups across geographies to deploy production ML/AI systems and mentor others. You’ll make cloud architecture decisions, drive training and workshops, and communicate insights through blogs and events. This is a hands-on leadership position at a digitally native consulting firm focused on transformation and data-driven impact.

• Lead internal team in AI product development
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary client projects as subject-matter expert
• Make cloud architecture and design decisions
• Build production-grade ML/AI solutions with solid software engineering
• Guide Data Scientists to scale models to production (parallelizing, tuning, testing, wrapping)
• Deliver trainings, lead internal meetings, and organize external events
• Participate in client meetings and workshops
• Author blog posts, present at conferences, and issue press releases on your work

• MSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, AI, Embedded Systems or related field
• 2-4 years building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines/models
• Strong ML fundamentals with domain expertise (e.g., CV, DL, NLP)
• Expert Python; proficient in Scala, C++, or Java
• SQL/PostgreSQL experience
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Unix/DevOps tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Big data tech (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks)
• Interest in data/AI topics and ability to quickly build expertise
• Experience coaching/mentoring engineers
• Management Consulting experience is a plus
• Willingness to travel and work with international clients
• Fluency in English and Dutch
