Engineering Manager - Seabed Intervention

As Engineering Manager for Seabed Intervention, you lead a multi-national team delivering seabed intervention and cable protection scopes in large international EPCI projects. You will develop the team, ensure technical clarity and quality, and collaborate with project teams, subcontractors and clients to support NKT’s green transition. You drive competence, processes and documentation while shaping how we execute complex offshore interventions. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on people development and delivery impact.

• Line-manage Seabed Intervention Project Engineers and partner with project and tender teams
• Allocate engineers by project needs and coach team members to develop competencies
• Coordinate technical input, review subcontractor documentation, and ensure alignment with milestones
• Maintain engineering standards, processes and documentation across projects
• Collaborate with Director Offshore Engineering to evolve department capabilities and ways of working
• Oversee scopes including route clearance, dredging, trenching, rock installation, crossings, landfall interfaces and cable protection
• Foster a diverse, inclusive environment and build strong cross-functional relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams

• Proven leadership experience in engineering delivery, either as a formal manager or as a technical lead
• Experience leading engineering teams in project delivery
• Ability to develop people, build trust, and manage a diverse team
• Understanding of offshore project delivery, technical quality requirements and offshore risk
• Structured resource planning, competence development, process improvement and documentation
• Strong stakeholder management in international environments
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
