Senior Internal Auditor

As Mollie grows, you will lead end-to-end internal audits across the company, using innovative methods including AI to boost efficiency. You’ll safeguard assets and strengthen controls in finance, operations, technology, and compliance, while shaping audit approaches for a fast-moving fintech. You work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement. This role combines ownership, analytical rigor, and the chance to evolve Mollie’s AI-powered audit platform to scale with the business.

• Lead and execute internal audits across the company (finance, operations, technology, compliance)
• Develop and implement audit plans with risk assessments using AI and other innovative tools
• Conduct in-depth process and control reviews to identify risks and improvements
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions
• Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions and mitigate risks
• Contribute to evolving the AI-powered audit platform and tooling
• Stay current on auditing standards and best practices, exploring new methodologies and technologies

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or IT auditing; relevant certifications such as RA, RE, RO, CIA, or CISA considered a plus
• Minimum 7 years of internal or external audit experience, ideally in a Dutch regulated financial institution
• Proven ability to lead complex audits from planning to reporting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with all management levels
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Experience or interest in AI-enhanced audit approaches
