Site Logistics Specialist

In this role you will ensure stable, reliable site logistics and inventory control for key raw materials and site product containers. You will work to maintain material quality, timely availability, compliant transport, and drive continuous improvement to support safe, predictable production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with site objectives and supplier performance, delivering measurable improvements in inventory and logistics processes.

• Manage site raw-material inventory to prevent stockouts and minimize excess while preserving quality and shelf-life
• Maintain target days-of-inventory and reorder points in coordination with Gloucester stock planning
• Perform end-of-month physical checks and reconcile system records, providing actionable commentary on discrepancies
• Lead root-cause analyses for inventory variances and implement corrective actions
• Respond to production schedule changes (expedite, defer, reallocate) within SLA
• Ensure timely inbound deliveries and outbound shipments; control yard/container movements
• Ensure timely system entry of goods receipts, dispatch notes and carrier docs; monitor delivery variances
• Manage container fleet (full/empty) and update containers app/WMS; coordinate weekly plans
• Coordinate third-party maintenance/service agreements and escalate non-conformance issues
• Verify inbound materials against COAs and raise issues for non-conformance; document and drive supplier corrective actions
• Maintain auditable logistics documentation (CMRs, permits, traceability); ensure driver/carrier compliance
• Align daily logistics with PBM objectives to reduce variability and waste; implement FIFO, slow-mover management, 5S and leverage SAP/WMS/containers app for visibility
• Collaborate with Production & Material Optimisation Lead; act as primary logistics contact in absence; engage with Procurement, Finance, QA, carriers, and suppliers

• Experience in site logistics/inventory management (chemical/materials experience preferred)
• Proficiency with SAP (or WMS), Enablon and container/yard management tools
• Strong problem-solving, supplier management and audit-ready documentation skills
• Knowledge of transport compliance and hazardous materials handling standards
