Principal Enterprise Architect

In this Field CTO role, you will act as a strategic technical advisor to C-level stakeholders, translating transformation goals into scalable Celonis solutions. You’ll shape data, cloud, and modernization roadmaps for top accounts and lead innovative, first-of-a-kind deployments using Agentic AI. You’ll partner with Sales to drive revenue, feed insights back to Product, and establish Celonis as a leader in architecture and process intelligence. This is a high-impact, globally-facing position that blends strategy with hands-on technical leadership.

• Serve as trusted executive advisor to C-suite leaders, aligning strategic goals with Celonis vision
• Lead enterprise data, cloud, and innovation strategy for large global accounts using methods like Capability Mapping
• Architect and deliver first-of-a-kind solutions leveraging Agentic AI to solve complex enterprise challenges
• Partner with Sales and Value Engineering to drive new business and strategic up-selling
• Act as feedback loop between Product/Engineering and market to shape offerings
• Develop and present customer-facing position papers and presentations to establish Celonis as an architecture and innovation leader

• 15–20 years of relevant experience in roles such as CTO at a consulting firm, Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture
• Proven ability to present complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders with emphasis on business value
• Deep experience in Enterprise Modernization, EA methodologies, and Agentic AI
• Ability to switch from high-level architecture to hands-on demos
• Strong background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow)
• Knowledge of ERP SAP or Oracle or domain expertise in highly regulated industries like Financial Services
• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian) advantageous
