Capital Analytics Knowledge Specialist

In this role you help solve complex capital project challenges for clients by applying advanced analytics and proprietary tools. You will work in cross-functional teams to develop scalable analytical solutions, benchmark data, and deliver concrete recommendations. You’ll present results to client leadership and help implement improvements. • Deploy analytical tools to address client issues and support tool development
• Develop and maintain proprietary tools, benchmarking databases, and market perspectives
• Collaborate in 3–5 person teams on client engagements to gather data, test hypotheses, and deliver recommendations
• Build and scale analytical solutions for portfolio optimization, project development, value improvement, cost and schedule diagnostics
• Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts for large-scale capital projects using advanced software and internal databases
• Contribute to industry knowledge and proprietary models by staying current with capital projects trends and synthesizing findings into McKinsey products

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or construction science
• 2+ years of experience on major capital projects in owner or contractor roles (PM/controls)
• Excel modeling capability and experience handling large datasets with databases
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Demonstrated leadership in work or extracurricular activities
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Effective communication of complex ideas (oral and written)
• AspenTech estimator tool experience (bonus)
