System Architect

In this System Architect role, you will shape the architecture for TE’s Industrial Control Panels by translating customer needs into robust system requirements. You will work with cross-functional teams to align technology roadmaps with market trends and TE strategy, influencing standards and industry directions. You will address technology gaps with practical solutions and deliver strategic inputs for product roadmaps and PRDs. This role offers impact across global customers and cross-disciplinary teams, contributing to TE’s leadership in safer, more connected industrial systems.

• Interface with global customers to understand system function, modularization level, and technology needs
• Develop system architecture requirements and align technology roadmaps with customer and market trends
• Analyze drivers of technology gaps and recommend solutions to address them
• Contribute to TE strategy through standards involvement and industry trend alignment
• Produce key deliverables including Application WhitePaper, Technology radar inputs, Product outlook/roadmap inputs, and PRD inputs
• Lead competitor benchmarking activities and provide feedback on product concepts
• Support cross-functional teams in design decisions to facilitate manufacturing and product success

• Engineering Degree (MaSc or BaSc) with 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years in product-line and/or component supplier industry system design and related technologies
• Knowledge of standards: UL 508A, IEC 60204-1, NFPA 79, NEMA ICS 1/250, IEC 60529/60721, IEC 60947, IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E, IEC 62443, IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, OSHA 1910.303, CSA Z462, IEC 61508/ISO 13849, IEC 61000/IEEE 519, etc.
• German and English required; French/Chinese/local language is a plus
