Financial Accounting Manager

In this role you drive the financial close process and ensure compliant reporting while leading a financial accounting team. You collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and governance, and you will lead finance transformation initiatives in a growth-oriented environment. Amsterdam-based, you shape accurate reporting and optimise controls as part of a broader finance strategy.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close
• Manage statutory accounts preparation and coordinate external audits
• Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP, tax regulations and internal controls
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance accounting team
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reporting accuracy
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve finance processes and reporting quality
• Coordinate with tax advisers, auditors and external regulatory bodies
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation and process standardisation

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, audit or financial control roles
• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and statutory reporting
• Fluent Dutch and professional English communication
• Experience leading and developing finance teams
• Strong analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail
• Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement projects is advantageous
