Firmware Development Engineer

As a Senior Firmware Engineer in Rambus' Silicon IP Development team in the Netherlands, you will build and secure embedded software across firmware, drivers, and hardware abstraction layers. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to define architecture and deliver secure, high-performance embedded solutions. You will tackle on-chip firmware, security features, and tools for testing and verification, contributing to Rambus’ data-centric and scalable hardware products. • Specify, develop, deploy, benchmark and maintain embedded security software
• Hands-on development with timely documentation and reviews
• Refactor existing software for reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Coordinate testing, packaging, deployment and secure production data handling
• Collaborate on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and software development methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product architecture and solutions

• Bachelor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 5–8 years of embedded software engineering experience
• Expert level C++ development (preferably on Linux)
• Multithreading application development
• Comfortable with hardware design
• Experience optimizing embedded code for performance
• Experience with software-driven hardware abstraction modeling
• Experience with Linux and security-focused software (PKI/Key Management desirable)
• Cryptography working knowledge desirable
• Experience with agile software development lifecycle
