Senior Software Engineer I

In this role you will own key parts of a business-critical tax platform used by thousands of professionals. You will design and deliver robust software, make thoughtful technical choices, and raise platform quality where accuracy and reliability matter. You’ll tackle complex engineering challenges, balancing quality and delivery with long-term maintainability, in close collaboration with domain experts and product owners. • Design, build, and evolve core modules for tax filing and compliance with ownership from concept to long-term maintenance
• Apply modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools where appropriate
• Develop and improve back-end and front-end components, APIs, interfaces, and integrations for a scalable, data-heavy platform
• Contribute to new features and innovations, including integrations with external systems for tax advisory workflows
• Collaborate with domain experts and product owners to translate regulations and customer needs into reliable software
• Improve engineering quality through testing, refactoring, code reviews, and mentoring teammates

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of hands-on software development, preferably with C#, .NET, Azure, and modern web technologies
• Strong quality mindset with testing, refactoring, code reviews, clean architecture principles, and coaching others
• Experience with modern web technologies (e.g., Angular, React or similar)
• Interest in responsibly using AI-assisted development tools in daily work
• Structured, analytical thinking and collaborative mindset
• Proficient English; reading Dutch texts is fine; spoken Dutch is a plus
