Join JBT Marel as a Field Service Engineer and work with advanced machinery for the global food processing industry. Based in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, you will travel to customer sites to install, commission and troubleshoot automated production lines. With a background in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering and experience with PLC-controlled systems, you will help customers keep their operations running smoothly. /p pYou don’t need to be a PLC programmer or electrical design expert. If you can read basic electrical schematics, enjoy hands-on problem-solving and are ready to travel internationally, this could be your next career move! /p bFunctie /b pAs a Field Service Engineer, you will combine practical technical work, fault-finding and direct customer contact. International travel is an essential part of this position. You will primarily travel to customer sites across Europe, with occasional trips to the United States and Australia. The travel schedule is expected to involve approximately 50–60% of your working time. Assignments may require you to stay away from home, but consecutive trips away are generally limited to around two to two and a half weeks. /p pYour responsibilities will include: /p ul liInstalling, commissioning and testing industrial machinery and production systems at customer sites; /li liTroubleshooting technical faults involving electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery and automation; /li liReading and interpreting basic electrical schematics to identify components, connections and potential faults; /li liWorking with PLC-controlled systems without necessarily programming PLCs yourself; /li liCarrying out service, maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliable machine performance; /li liSupporting customers on-site and remotely, explaining technical issues and helping them find solutions; /li liCollaborating with customers and international colleagues to complete service activities effectively; /li liReporting technical findings, service activities and any follow-up actions required. /li /ul bFunctie-eisen /b pTo be successful in this role, you should have a solid technical foundation and experience in an industrial environment. Essential requirements: /p ul liA bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering; /li liExperience working with PLC-controlled systems; /li liThe ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics; /li liExperience in an industrial environment involving machinery or automated production processes; /li liA practical and analytical approach to troubleshooting technical problems; /li liGood communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset; /li liA good command of English; /li liWillingness to travel internationally for approximately 50–60% of your working time. /li /ul pExperience that would be particularly relevant: /p pCandidates with experience in packaging lines, food processing equipment or other industrial production lines are especially interesting.
