Description In this role, you will operate a forklift equipped with a bale clamp on a daily basis. Your responsibilities include: Operating a forklift with a bale clamp Loading and unloading trucks Picking up, moving, and stacking bales of paper and plastic Loading containers Moving materials to the correct location on site Checking that bales are stored safely and securely Performing daily checks on the forklift Reporting any irregularities or unsafe situations Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organized Assisting with other tasks on site as needed You work independently and maintain an overview, even when things get busy. Safety and accuracy are always your top priorities. About the client You will join a large organization that collects, sorts, and processes waste and raw materials. At the Rotterdam location, large volumes of paper and plastic arrive daily. These materials are compressed into bales and prepared for further processing and reuse. The work environment is practical, with a no-nonsense culture where colleagues are direct, committed, and used to working together. Safety, a hands-on attitude, and teamwork are central to daily operations. Requirements Experience operating a forklift and a valid forklift certificate Experience working with a bale clamp is a plus Experience in (paper) recycling Available to work full-time Works safely, accurately, and independently Able to maintain an overview in a dynamic environment Motivated, reliable, and hands-on Sufficient Dutch and/or English language skills to work and communicate safely Our offer Salary between €2,718 and €3,307 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your experience and placement Employment conditions according to the Beroepsgoederenvervoer collective labor agreement Full-time position for the long term Fully provided work clothing and personal protective equipment Opportunities to obtain additional training and certifications An independent position with a lot of responsibility Enjoyable summer BBQ with your colleagues
