As our new Legal Counsel, you’ll provide strategic, legal guidance on international commercial matters, ensuring that our business operates smoothly, responsibly and with vision. You’ll be a trusted partner for senior management, shaping decisions that influence projects around the globe.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Advise the business on complex local and international legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements across multiple business units.
• Lead legal risk assessments and develop practical solutions to mitigate potential risks.
• Act as a strategic legal advisor in key business decisions and negotiations.
• Manage external counsel relationships, including case handling and budget control.
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to align with industry standards.
• Collaborate with teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Project Management.
• Stay ahead of legislative changes and advise the business on their impact.
• Mentor junior legal team members and contribute to their professional growth and development.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Master's degree in Business Law or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in an international, commercial environment.
• Expert knowledge in contract (management) law and international commercial law.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
• Hands‑on experience with legal (sub)systems at a professional level.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong decision‑making skills and the ability to act proactively.
• A strategic mindset with strong analytical abilities to interpret and respond to complex legal information.
