The Challenge

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, integrating, and managing the software stack that powers UAV platforms. You will ensure that new features, integrations, and releases are robust, safe, and production-ready.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and evolve the flight software stack built on PX4 ensuring reliability, version control, and compatibility across hardware platforms.
• Develop and integrate specific functionality, telemetry, mission automation, and onboard networking.
• Collaborate with OS manufacturing engineers on software releases, testing, and deployment for fielded systems across Europe.
• Automate and optimize testing workflows, including regression, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight validation.
• Analyze flight logs and telemetry data to improve stability, performance, and safety.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, refining architecture and software processes as volumes scale up.

This is a hands-on software engineering role with a strong focus on system integration, release management, and reliability. Approximately 60% of your time involves collaboration and software management with OS manufacturer, and 40% is focused on in-house software development and testing. Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
• 5+ years of experience in software development for complex systems (UAVs, robotics, automotive, or aerospace).
• Experience with embedded Linux, PX4, or similar flight-control architectures is a must-have
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Go, and familiarity with Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of software lifecycle management, testing, and automation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting flight logs and debugging system-level behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with external partners and multidisciplinary teams.
