Machine Learning Engineer – GenAI Platform

Responsibilities
- Design pipelines that ingest, process, and interpret non‑structured data.
- Design, develop and maintain scalable GenAI components and tools used across the organization.
- Develop user interfaces or backend systems that interact with LLMs efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, data science) to bring AI‑powered features to life.
- Design and implement RAG pipelines that combine LLMs with vector search (e.g. Azure AI Search).
- Monitor platform usage, cost, GenAI and LLM‑related metrics.
- Create evaluation frameworks for chatbot or GenAI related applications.
Qualifications – Must Have
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience working in a platform team and the ability to design systems that support multiple teams and use cases.
- Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) and open‑source models.
- Strong programming skills in Python and ML/AI toolkits such as PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain.
- Experience deploying ML/AI systems in a production environment.
- Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, or MLflow for model lifecycle management.
- Understanding of software engineering principles: testing, CI/CD, version control, containerization.
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI‑enabled applications (chatbots, intelligent agents).
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, and model fine‑tuning techniques.
- Production experience with cloud services (Azure).
- Pragmatic and flexible mindset with low‑code or no‑code solutions.
- Experience in Machine Learning, NLP, or AI engineering.
Compensation and Benefits
Gross annual salary between €80,000 and €110,000 including FlexBudget and an 8% holiday allowance. Bonus or collective profit sharing is available at the discretion of the role.
Hybrid working model: 40% office, 40% home and 20% flexible. With manager approval, short assignments abroad (up to 3 weeks a year, not exceeding 2 consecutive weeks) are possible.
