Senior Software Architect
Nearfield Instruments is a fast‑growing high‑tech scale‑up that designs, develops, and services advanced metrology machines. We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our Software Group, focused on Machine Control, to develop software that directs subsystem control.
Location: Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain specialist knowledge related to a semiconductor desktop application.
- Act as a technical go‑to person for Product Owners and Developers.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, help Product Owners and release managers plan releases.
- Collect requirements from Product Owners and translate them to software‑level requirements.
- Design high‑level architecture and component designs to satisfy these requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving software development, engineering tasks, and product releases.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in software development using C#.
- Over 5 years of experience in software system design and architecture.
- Proficient with Git, JIRA, PlantUML.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to break work into development phases.
- Coaching ability; act as a technical advisor to keep the team up‑to‑date.
- Ensures technical quality of designs.
