Tax Director

Located at ASICS EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you’ll contribute to all tax affairs with broad responsibilities in the EMEA region.

As the Tax Director EMEA you will report to the CFO EMEA and will be managing a team of 4 direct reports. This role involves managing tax planning, optimizing the company’s tax position and ensuring tax compliance with tax laws and regulations (both for indirect and direct tax).

You will be providing advice on International Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Withholding Tax and VAT. In this role you will ensure that tax policies support the business goals, comply with global tax regulations, and mitigate tax risks.

You will be responsible for monitoring the tax processes in EMEA and making the existing processes more robust. You will be building relationships internally with the various stakeholders (Finance, Legal, ASICS headquarter in Japan and the business) and with external parties (tax authorities and tax advisors).

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Transfer Pricing: Ensure transfer pricing policies are set and comply with local and international regulations, and lead strategic initiatives in this area.
• Advisory Role: Provide expert tax advice to senior management and business regarding cross-border transactions and other tax-sensitive activities.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee tax compliance across the various countries manage audits, and mitigate tax risks.
• Tax technology: implement automation and efficiency improvements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders on all tax matters.
• Team Leadership: build and grow an engaged, collaborative and high-performing Tax teamwhere people can develop themselves to their full potential.

You have the following skills:

• Master’s degree in tax.
• 10+ years of tax experience, including at least 3 years in-house experience within large multinational companies.
• Strong expertise in International Tax and Transfer Pricing.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Great with working in a multicultural, young and complex organization
• You are able to connect with various levels within the organization and translate tax to the different stakeholders.
• You have patience, passion, drive and oversight with hands-on mentality to bring tax to the next level within ASICS.
