Commercial Director - Ocean Freight | Rotterdam (European Scope)

About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving commercial performance across Europe. The Commercial Director will lead regional sales strategy, manage key customer relationships, and oversee a team of sales professionals across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the European commercial strategy in alignment with global objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing sales team across key European markets.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with strategic accounts in ocean freight forwarding.
- Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and drive growth across general cargo and consumer goods sectors.
- Partnerships: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance service offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, forecast revenue, and ensure consistent commercial delivery across regions.
Ideal Profile
- Proven leadership experience in ocean freight forwarding or broader logistics.
- Strong understanding of European markets and customer dynamics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed, international environment.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus but not required.
