Role Description The Senior Leader of Industry Value Engineering will be responsible for defining and driving the execution of our vertical sales strategy. This leader will establish the IVE function, build a team of industry value engineers, and lead the team to build industry-specific value models, craft compelling narratives, and equip our teams with the content, tools, and assets required to win. The role focuses on speaking the language of our customers’ industries, quantifying business impact, and positioning Equinix as a partner for digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vertical sales strategy that aligns with the overall go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to create compelling value propositions that resonate with target customers.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, informing product development.
- Oversee customer engagement initiatives, ensuring effective communication of product value and addressing pain points.
- Lead efforts to quantify financial benefits of products for customers, including ROI and total cost of ownership analyses.
- Ensure alignment on product offerings and value messaging across product, sales, and marketing teams.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of value engineering initiatives.
- Foster continuous improvement by gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders to refine value propositions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of value engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Skills, Experience, & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in value engineering, product management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of multiple industries (e.g., financial services, technology, telco, public sector) and market dynamics.
- Excellent skills in building, developing, and managing a strong team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience in financial analysis and market research.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Experience working cross‑functionally and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Pay Range (United States)
Dallas Infomart Office: $384,000 – $576,000 USD per annum
Redwood City Office: $461,000 – $691,000 USD per annum
Canada – Toronto Office: $360,000 – $540,000 CAD per annum
